Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

\n

• Provide critical care to patients with heart attacks, strokes, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress and other severe medical issues
\n• Assess patient conditions and develop and implement care plans
\n• Treat wounds and provide advanced life support
\n• Assist physicians with procedures and observe and record vital signs
\n• Ensure proper functioning of ventilators, monitors and other medical equipment
\n• Adjust ventilators and IABP as needed
\n• Administer intravenous fluids and medications
\n• Perform suctioning procedures
\n• Collaborate with critical care team members
\n• Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
\n• Serve as patient advocate and provide education and support to patient families
\n• Care for pre- and post-operative patients
\n• May occasionally care for pediatric/adolescent patients
\n• Must have 2 years recent ICU RN experience in hospital setting
\n• May float between Lander and Riverton campuses depending on facility census
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS/ENPC (TNCC preferred but not required) through American Heart Association
\n• Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license required
\n• Must complete facility-specific submission requirements and templates

The facility maintains a critical care unit that handles a wide range of severe medical conditions and trauma cases. The organization emphasizes collaborative care and maintains high standards for equipment and patient safety protocols. The facility does not have a dedicated pediatrics unit, so ICU nurses may occasionally care for younger patients.
