Salary: $52,000 to $70,000 DOE
Certified Special Education Teacher - Online Campus (Kindergarten-5th grade)
Although this is a remote position, candidates must reside in Arizona and be able to come onsite to our Phoenix Online School Office two times per month for meetings and professional development.
Under the supervision and direction of the Campus Director, the Classroom SPED Teacher will effectively manage a caseload of students while preparing lesson plans, instructing students, evaluating and monitoring students performance, and advancing student achievement in the classroom environment. The SPED Teacher should have experience differentiating instruction for a variety of learners and will work collaboratively with a team to plan and support instruction in accordance with students IEP goals. Teachers in this role should demonstrate a commitment to professional development through didactic workshops and classroom coaching.
Candidates with teaching certification and experience are preferred, with a willingness to be trained and coached in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies. The SPED Teacher will support a caseload of students and work on a team to implement a best-practice educational model to achieve optimal results for students on the autism spectrum and students with other related disorders in the online learning environment.
