We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting a small accounting team. The role requires hands-on management of Accounts Payable, month-end closings, and account reconciliations while ensuring the seamless operation of financial processes. The position involves working closely with the President and Owner and requires expertise in QuickBooks Desktop.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
• Oversee month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Process checks and handle related documentation efficiently.
• Collaborate with the Billing Clerk and Accounts Receivable Clerk to ensure smooth accounting operations.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for daily accounting tasks and financial management.
• Support the preparation of journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures in all accounting activities.
• Provide consistent updates and work closely with the President and Owner to address accounting needs.

• Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is required.

• Solid understanding of general ledger management and journal entry preparation.

• Expertise in performing bank and account reconciliations.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a small team and communicate effectively.

• Previous experience in month-end closing processes is essential.
