Regional Nurse Consultant job at OPCO Skilled Management. Saint Louis, MO. The Nurse Consultant/Regional Director of Clinical Operations position has two main objectives: to partner with facilities as the primary clinical resource in pursuit of clinical excellence, and to assist in developing clinical programming and processes that differentiate our services as a provider of choice. You will manage our facilities in the Midwest (Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois). The RNC serves as the Regional Director of Clinical Operations for assigned facilities, interfacing with the Regional Director of Operations, Director of Staff Development, Facility Rehab Director, MDS Coordinator, and others as necessary. Responsibilities include: Assisting facility management with the implementation of resident care policies, procedures, and company standards of practice. Conducting facility reviews, including mock survey visits, to assess compliance with federal and state regulations and company standards; preparing reports accordingly. Communicating identified problems, recommended solutions, and maintaining ongoing discussions with leadership. Ensuring clinical quality assurance of interdisciplinary clinical processes. Providing educational information to enable facility nursing teams to make informed clinical decisions. Designing and implementing educational programs and learning activities. Identifying trends in resident care and collaborating on quality improvement initiatives. Evaluating nursing and clinical practices for compliance with professional standards, state nurse practice acts, and regulatory requirements. Management responsibilities include: Applying leadership skills to guide teams toward goals. Linking resources and personnel to achieve objectives. Assisting in managing challenges and facilitating team efforts. Establishing effective communication with staff, external consultants, and partners. Participating in the interview process for Director of Nursing positions. Facilitating the IDT in care management processes. Financial duties involve: Assisting in analyzing and directing the nursing department budget. Analyzing nursing labor hours. Understanding PPS and RAI processes and their clinical implications for reimbursement. Managing HMO, Change of Condition, and Level Authorization processes. Minimum Requirements: Active RN license in good standing in MO. Regional experience preferred. At least 5 years of long-term care experience required. Minimum of 2 years as a Director of Nursing.
