Seeking a full-time Pediatric Nursery Hospitalist to join a team in Cedar Rapids, IA, providing inpatient pediatric and newborn nursery care. Responsibilities include patient admissions, discharges, rounding, and collaboration with neonatal specialists. Pediatric - Hospitalist opening in Cedar Rapids, IA - Cedar Rapids; Des Moines 100m Position Details:

• Full-Time
• Seeking a Pediatric Nursery Hospitalist to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA
• Join an established Pediatric Hospitalist team of 4 physicians
• Additional onsite specialist support: Experienced Neonatologists team that will take the ill babies into their care.
• Schedule is average of 14 - 12 hour shifts per month; Average of 8-10 hours onsite and with home call;
• Weekends and Holidays on rotation
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities:
• Rotating with other Pediatric Hospitalist inpatient pediatric care and Newborn Nursery
• No attendance to deliveries
• Average of 15-20 patients per day in the nursery
• Average of 6-8 pediatric inpatients per day
• Rounding Newborn Nursery: Admissions and Discharges and Circumcisions
• Pediatric Hospitalist: Admissions and Discharges, rounding
• Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling
Qualifications:
• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician s field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
