OSP Construction Supervisor (Outside Plant) - Memphis, TN

$70-$85K/year, depending on experience level

Allstates Consulting Services is looking for several experienced Outside Plant Construction Supervisors. Someone who has several years as an OSP engineer or as a OSP Construction manager, overseeing subcontract crews in the installation of OSP underground and aerial, or FTTH type programs would be a good fit. These positions are in Memphis, TN. Company Vehicle provided. Full time W2 positions with access to benefits. Need to be local or willing to relocate to Memphis. Not offering Per-diem.

About the Role

The OSP Construction Supervisor directs and manages field teams to ensure construction projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable regulations. This role focuses on resource coordination, budget oversight, and maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate field teams to meet project goals
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and skill development for team members
  • Enforce compliance with company policies and standards
  • Implement corrective actions for performance issues, supported by proper documentation
  • Mentor and train team leads
  • Partner with project coordinators to manage schedules, materials, and logistics
  • Collaborate with clients to align on project plans and site activities
  • Approve material orders for assigned projects
  • Oversee crew timesheets, project documentation, and administrative duties
  • Verify and approve invoices for accuracy
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare daily progress reports, update project maps, track hours, and complete final documentation
  • Conduct interviews and manage hiring for field teams
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license with a clean record
  • Proven leadership in managing construction teams to deliver safe, accurate, and timely results
  • Expertise in aerial and underground construction techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with effective listening abilities
  • Professional demeanor with strong collaboration skills in diverse team environments
  • Proficient in using Excel, Word, scheduling tools, and construction management software
  • Skilled in calculations for budgets, estimates, ratios, and percentages
  • Ability to analyze contracts, RFPs, financial reports, and technical documents
  • Capable of responding to inquiries from clients, team members, and regulatory agencies
  • Strong presentation skills for engaging with stakeholders and teams
  • Effective problem-solving, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to interpret complex technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic formats
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
