We invite all upcoming December 2025 and May 2026 graduates from Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs to embark on your nursing career with HCA Healthcare!

We are offering sponsorship (EB3 Visa) to qualified international students!

Available units for sponsorship include Med Surg, Cardiac, Telemetry, Orthopedic, Rehabilitation, Psychiatric, Transplant, Oncology, and Step Down Units. Please note that we are not sponsoring for specialty units at this time.

****If you are not currently residing in the US and have not recently graduated from a nursing program meeting our sponsorship criteria, please do not apply.****

• Must possess an active OPT upon graduation and be available to start shortly thereafter.
• Willingness to pursue further education through a Day One CPT program (we have recommended programs, including options in Kansas City for MSN).
• Ability to work while attending future education, requiring enrollment in hybrid online programs.
• Education must be from an accredited institution in the United States, and applicants must currently reside in the United States. Please ensure your application reflects this.
• *You may submit your application and participate in interviews for the Graduate Nurse position and relocation to Kansas City (if necessary) up to 6 months in advance.*

Completing this application will allow a recruiter to reach out and arrange an initial interview, where we will discuss your top areas of interest and hospital preferences.

While positions for sponsorship are limited to specific departments, excellent opportunities for advancement into specialty units are available after one year of service with us.

We offer a sign-on bonus ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 for eligible candidates (hospital and unit specific).

****Full-time Night Shift only available for Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Cardiac, and Progressive Care Units.*****

$5,000 relocation bonus available for candidates living more than 50 miles from our hospitals.

Hospitals currently providing sponsorship include Belton Regional Medical Center, Centerpoint Medical Center, Lee's Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, Research Medical Center, and Research Psychiatric Center. Please note that we reserve the right to limit the availability of sponsorship based on our needs at the time of application.

Training Program Overview:

The HCA Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive, year-long initiative tailored to equip you with hands-on experience that will strengthen your clinical and critical thinking skills. As a Graduate Nurse Resident, you will benefit from a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents, guiding you through the transition from student nurse to registered nurse.

The HCA Nurse Residency Program at Research Medical Center is designed to equip you for success in the hospital environment. This paid program includes:

• Advanced clinical training in specialized areas.
• Monthly educational sessions.
• Preceptorship training with a facility preceptor.
• Hands-on skill evaluations through simulations.
• Mentorship from experienced nursing leaders.
• Collaborative work on an evidence-based practice project.

As an RN Resident, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with the standards of practice. Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver individualized, compassionate care while advocating for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions during admission and shifts, promptly reporting any changes.
• Perform procedures and monitor conditions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Deliver exceptional care by responding quickly to patient needs and anticipating requests.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and treatment plans, simplifying complex terminology.

Qualifications:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License or eligibility to become a Graduate Nurse in the state.
• No prior experience required.
• Some travel may be required for training.
