Ignite Your Career Become a Firefighter Trainee! The City of Branson is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Firefighter Trainee. This entry-level position provides hands-on training and the opportunity to attend an accredited Fire Academy, preparing you to become a certified firefighterand a vital part of keeping our community safe. To be considered, you'll need: A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years of age. Be a U.S. Citizen. Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage, when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. Meet NFPA 1582 minimum requirements for medical qualifications that firefighters must meet to perform their duties safely, and medical disqualifications that could prevent a firefighter from performing their duties safely. Vision must be correctable to 20/40; must pass the Ishihara color vision test and/or be able to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing red, green and amber. Be able to meet established hearing standards. Meet the City of Branson Employee Appearance at Work policy with Tattoos, Scarification, Body Art, and Body Modifications. Successfully complete a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, a pulmonary fitness (PFT) screening, psychological, and medical/physical examinations.
