About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to provide general medical direction and supervision of the medical aspects of care. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall accountability and quality of medical care for the participants, including direct primary care, comprehensive assessments, and the management of care in various settings such as hospitals and nursing homes. This role also involves the development and implementation of care protocols, education, and best practices, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Chief Medical Officer will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to formulate and achieve care plan goals, and will be involved in the recruitment, training, and supervision of medical staff. Applicants must have a Doctorate in medicine or osteopathy, with a minimum of 5 years of primary care experience with the senior population, and 3-5 years of staff, budgetary, and clinical management experience. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in evidenced-based practice, the ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds, and a proven track record in leading quality improvement initiatives. The Chief Medical Officer will also be involved in strategic and operational aspects of pharmacy services, and must demonstrate proficiency in clinical tasks, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively. Licensure and certification requirements include a RI Doctor of medicine or osteopathy, RI Controlled Substance Registration, CPR Certification, NPI Number, DEA Registration Number, and a valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation for community-based travel.
