Position: 1:1 Behavior Technician
Location: Hingham, MA
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 2025-2026 School Year
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $28/hour (*Based on experience)
Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one behavioral and educational support to a high school student with significant behavioral and developmental needs. This role involves implementing individualized treatment plans developed by behavioral specialists and fostering skill development in a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to assist students with disabilities.
+ Implement individualized educational and behavioral programs, including accurate data collection and graphing.
+ Provide support in classroom, community, and home settings as needed.
+ Maintain constant visual supervision and follow safety protocols, including bolting and lost child procedures.
+ Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting and self-care.
+ Support students exhibiting challenging behaviors (e.g., aggression, self-injury, acting out).
+ Use reinforcement strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce interfering behaviors.
+ Collaborate with BCBAs and special educators to ensure fidelity to treatment plans.
+ Monitor progress and report on program effectiveness under BCBA supervision.
Qualifications
+ Experience in ABA is required.
+ Ability to work with students who exhibit aggressive or self-injurious behaviors.
+ Strong skills in data collection and behavior intervention.
+ Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations.
+ Comfortable providing hands-on assistance for daily living activities.
Minimum Requirements
+ High School diploma or equivalent (required).
+ Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred.
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years old.
