Future Salary Increases July 2026 - 4.49% increase to base pay (3.0% Across-the-Board + 1.49% Market Increase) July 2027 - 4.49% increase to base pay (3.0% Across-the-Board + 1.49% Market Increase) The County of San Diego is currently accepting job applications for Airport Manager to fill a vacancy at the Ramona airport located in Ramona (East Region), California. This position will also be responsible for managing Borrego Valley, Fallbrook, and Ocotillo airports. For additional information please visit the provided links. The Airport Manager job classification is responsible for managing the operational functions of airports, and for performing administrative functions. Hiring Process and Timeline Job Offer and Background Process begins after interviews. Note: Current County employees may be excluded from additional background screening. Anticipated Start Date: Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in airport/aviation management or closely related field; AND, five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in airport operations and management; OR, Nine (9) years of increasingly responsible experience in airport operations and management. Note: Qualifying experience or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
